Heidi Eisips

Executive Director

Heidi Eisips is a sustainability marketing and strategy consultant and seasoned business professional with more than 20 years of international experience managing and growing entrepreneurial ventures, solutions, brands and alliances. Based in San Jose, Heidi is the principal and founder of Korala Consulting, a consultancy focused on helping organizations achieve breakthrough results by shifting products, services and business practices to more sustainable models. Her areas of expertise include: sustainability strategy development, implementation and education, end-to-end management of the full marketing lifecycle and team building. Reiner Lomb

Located in Atlanta, Georgia, Reiner provides executive, career and leadership development coaching and facilitation to professionals and organizations. Reiner is a successful entrepreneur, whose career has taken him across the globe and into different industries, including textiles, the German Air Force, computer hardware and software, and coaching and consulting. He has worked for over twenty years at Hewlett-Packard, where he has held leadership positions in product management, worldwide marketing, business development, management of start-up businesses, global alliances and sales, and leadership development.

Reiner's mission is to help organizations and communities to thrive in a sustainable way by engaging, mobilizing and developing their employees, members and leaders. Reiner focuses on helping professionals return to passion and purpose by aligning their work with what they deeply care about. Dorsey Moore

Advisory Board

Dorsey Moore has worked in the nonprofit sector for more than 20 years and has extensive experience directing operations, departments and development. He has also founded two businesses, including Sustainability for All, a consultancy that develops social venture business models for at-risk young adults in San Jose and throughout California.  Over the course of his professional career, Dorsey has worked for the City of San Jose, the San Jose Conservation Corps & Charter School and the American Indian Health Center of Santa Clara Valley. He holds an MBA in Sustainable Management from the Presidio School of Management in San Francisco, and remains active in several South Bay social and environmental organizations.

Cheryl Hackworth

Instructor

In addition to her work with Green Tech Academy, Cheryl is a professor at West Valley College in Saratoga, CA, where she teaches courses in Microbiology, Introduction to Biology, Contemporary Biology, Cell Biology, Infectious Disease, Honors Genetics, Plant Biology, Animal Behavior.  In 2010, Cheryl received a prestigious research fellowship as an IISME Fellow (Industry Initiatives For Science & Math Education) for Life Technologies.  She actively consults to a variety of biotechnology startups, specializing in algae biofuels, biofuel technology, and alternative energy.  Cheryl received her PhD in Plant and Microbial Biology from the University Of California, Berkeley and her bachelor’s degree in Molecular, Cell and Developmental Biology from UCLA.  Cheryl regularly volunteers with Habitat for Humanity and the San Jose Family Shelter.  She enjoys hiking, trail running, rock climbing, biking, book clubs, and her dog, Teddy.  (cheryl at greentechacademy dot org)

Bill Coleman

Bill Coleman is a high tech executive with over 20 years of experience in the development of products and services in a wide variety of fields of expertise from air traffic control to desktop software to eCommerce marketplaces.  Bill has expertise in Product Management, Usability Engineering, Marketing & Market Development, Operations Analysis/Process Redesign, SOP & Best Practices Implementation, Training & Development and P&L Accountability.  In his most recent position, he served as Senior Vice President/Chief Operating Officer of IronPlanet, Inc., overseeing operational strategies and staff development initiatives to achieve both short- and long-term organizational goals. As one of the earliest members of IronPlanet, Bill moved into a completely new field, auctioning construction equipment on the Internet, and made a significant contribution by growing the business “idea” into a real-world company with more than $330M in annual sales. Bill’s expertise in defining and developing products and business processes, managing top-performing teams, and engaging customers to maximize service and satisfaction contributed to the success of IronPlanet.  Bill is passionate about Smart Grid technologies and achieving better efficiencies in energy generation, distribution and management.  (bill at greentechacademy dot org)

Michael Stevens

Instructor

Michael Stevens has more than thirty-five years of experience in solar and renewable energy research and development, design, and construction.  He has extensive experience in all disciplines of renewable energy, including, but not limited to, PV installations to megawatt scale, wind, passive and active solar HVAC, biomass, geothermal, micro-hydro, and energy conservation.  Mike has taught introductory and advanced solar PV classes, which include NABCEP certification curriculum and construction, and he has also designed a 16-hour PV class for permit documentation.
